課程概述 |
Students will be assigned statistical papers for oral presentations in class. The presentations will be given by groups and each group consists 2~3 students. The presenting group needs to respond comments and questions from the audience. Other students need to make comments or ask questions regarding to the presentation. Some invited talks will be arranged. In these invited talks, each student will be asked to submit a short review. |

課程目標 |
Through reading statistical papers and discussing related topics, students are expected to learn how to discover research topics and develop independent problem-solving skills in addition to obtaining advanced knowledge of statistical methods. |

課程要求 |
1. Students will be formed in groups. Each group will be assigned a statistical paper for oral presentation in class.
2. Some students will act as commentators to make comments and ask questions for the presentation while other students are encouraged to join the discussions.
3. A short review is required for each student for each invited talk. |
